ABOUT THE ROLE:We are looking for a Freight Broker (Carrier Sales Representative) to join our growing team.
In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and managing carrier capacity, negotiating rates, and ensuring efficient freight movement across North America.This is an ideal opportunity for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment and have a strong network of carriers.You will play a critical role in the execution of shipments by sourcing carriers, negotiating competitive rates, and matching capacity to demand in real time.
Acting as a key link between carriers and internal teams, you will help solve day-to-day transportation challenges and ensure freight moves efficiently and on schedule.This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with logistics or sales experience to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment while developing strong negotiation skills and long-term carrier relationships.
WHAT YOU'LL DO: Source, onboard, and manage a network of carriers to support freight demand Utilize load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) to match freight with available capacity Negotiate competitive rates with carriers to maximize margins Build and maintain long-term relationships with carrier partners Coordinate shipment execution and ensure on-time delivery Communicate with carriers via phone, email, and system platforms (EDI/TMS) Monitor market conditions, capacity trends, and lane pricing Provide high-quality service to internal teams and external partners Identify opportunities to expand carrier network and improve efficiency
