About Coperniq
Coperniq is an AI-native operating platform for project-based contractors.
We bring sales, project management, field service, communication, payments, and AI agents into one platform so contractors can run their business without stitching together multiple disconnected tools.
We’re backed by Y Combinator and Initialized Capital and work with contractors across the U.S.
We’re a small, high-ownership team where strong performers can take on significantly more responsibility very quickly.
The Role
We’re looking for a Founding Business Development Representative to help build Coperniq’s outbound sales motion.
Your primary responsibility will be creating qualified sales pipeline through outbound prospecting. You’ll work directly with the founders and sales team to identify the right accounts, reach decision-makers, understand their business problems, and create opportunities for Coperniq.
This role is also designed as a path into an Account Executive position.
We expect strong performers to spend approximately 2–6 months developing deep knowledge of our customers, market, product, and sales process before beginning to own deals themselves.
The transition to Account Executive will be based on performance and readiness, not tenure alone.
What You’ll Do
Prospect target accounts through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels.
Identify owners, executives, and other key decision-makers.
Create and qualify new sales opportunities.
Book and attend qualified sales meetings.
Understand customer pain, priorities, timing, and buying intent.
Maintain accurate CRM records, opportunity data, and next steps.
Follow up consistently with prospects throughout the sales process.
Work with the founders and sales team to improve targeting, messaging, sequences, and outbound strategy.
Test new approaches and help build the outbound pl
